This Buhari Govt Is Simply Breaking My Heart

THIS BUHARI GOVT IS SIMPLY BREAKING MY HEART! I read some newspaper reports of the Govt’s press release on the 2017 budget and I just wanted to cry. 

Now they are saying the 2017 budget will lead us out of the economic woods.... excuse my asking sir: BUT LEAD US OUT OF THE WOODS TO WHERE exactly? Is it to a thicker Economic Jungle? For those with short memories.

 So, before they start using the words 'out of economic woods' to describe 2017 budget again, they need to EXPLAIN to us why we got deeper into the economic woods this year, instead of finding the road out, despite their promises LAST YEAR.

To be frank, even as a confirmed Buharist, I am fast losing patience with this government.

It’s one thing to fall short of people’s expectations for many reasons, but it another to just pretend you didn’t make us any promise LAST YEAR.

The govt must be honorable enough to explain the failures of their last year’s promises FIRST, APOLOGISE FOR IT, and then make us a new promise, with proof that this time they are serious.

As it is, I am sick and tired of the government just pretending everything is working according to plan. I just visited Nigeria last week, and I can see for myself that everything is NOT WORKING according to any recovery plan.

I was just shocked at the worsened situation EVERYWHERE. I SAW previously PROUD AND SUCCESSFUL Businessmen, and many hard working and successful grownups, complaining of hunger, and lack of anything happening in their business.

Many CEOs have laid themselves off from their own jobs while many have not even bothered to show up in their offices for weeks.

 I saw workers, both public and private companies, complaining of not having been paid in months.

IT WAS VERY DEPRESSING FOR ME AND I AM BLAMING PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI PEROSNALLY for the first time for this colossal mess.

We can’t continue making excuses for him anymore. Its clear Baba is not giving us is B Game (never mind A Game).

What happened to the PROMISE OF CHANGE? This is fast becoming a NIGHTMARE and this time I am calling out PRESIDENT BUHARI. The buck stops at his desk and right now he is not playing a good game!

And before both sides of the political divide start harassing me over my support for Buhari, I remind you again my support is not unconditional and not blind.

I love Buhari but that love is CONDITIONAL UPON HIM STEPPING UP AND USING THE SMART PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY TO DO THE RIGHT THING FOR NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS.

He does NOT have my support to keep appointing LEMONS into critical positions. He does NOT have my support to allow himself to be isolated from the smart people in his government.

Frankly I am still in shock that a government that has an Osinbajo, an Okechukwu Enelamah, an Ibe Kachikwu and a Raji Fashola could be flailing so badly.

 When I investigated, I was made to understand that these VERY SMART people do not even have unfettered access to Baba and most of their proposals never even made it into Baba’s desk. Somebody needs to start SHOUTING!

We all gathered to throw out a corrupt govt in expectation that things will be better under Buhari and we must ask questions or be complicit in the ruination of our country.

Buhari’s govt may be trying, but as far as I am concerned, they are scoring less than 40% right now and the Govt needs to own up to its several shortcomings before making us any useless promise of getting out of the woods next year. With WHO AND WITH WHAT?

As far as I concerned there are too many incompetents in this govt and Baba needs to SHAKE UP THE CABINET before I can even believe in any silver lining.

A DONKEY OFFICIAL FOR 2 YEARS WILL NOT TRANSFORM INTO A LION OVERNIGHT. So, my appeal to Baba is to get rid of the donkeys in his govt first, and then come to talk to us about getting out of the woods.

Baba needs to understand that a situation where some ministers cannot even get access to him because of some donkeys blocking the door is NOT good for his government or for Nigeria.

 Let the APC and fellow Buharists be on notice, if this nonsense persists till MAY Next year, we will take up the call of BUHARI AND APC MUST GO, without any apologies.

2 years is more than enough to show us the way out of the forest, even if we didn’t get out yet. Just as Nigerians rose to kick out the corrupt GEJ GOVT, we will rise again and kick out the ineffective and incompetent govt.

We will again look for somebody else to help our country. EVENTUALLY, WE WILL GET THE RIGHT PERSON BECOS WE WONT GIVE UP AND ACCEPT A DESTINY OF UNDER PERFOMANCE AS A COUNTRY!

Right now, I am honestly not sure the government knows the location of the road out of the Nigerian economic forest, much less lead us out of it! Its knee jerk policy making is proof positive that they are still guessing where the road is.
