There's No Killing The Beatle In Addis Ababa

The base of the African Union, Addis Ababa is a city of sharp contrasts particularly in public transportation.

Vintage cars serve as taxis against the back drop of the ultra modern
complex built and donated by China.

All manner of vehicles last seen in Nigeria eons ago. When last did you see or board the Russian-made Lada.

The Beatle is present in its first incarnation. Then there is Datsun, and the various Peugeots: 104, 204 and 404.

The cars are in good shape and deliver on their assignments. And they are all over, from the Bole International Airport and through Addis.

Talk of using what you have. Or living within your means. See more photos.
