Train Crashed In Cameroon

A passenger train traveling from Cameroon's capital Yaounde to the city of Douala derailed on Friday close to Eseka station, 120 km west of Yaounde, leaving at least 53 killed and 300 injured, said Xinhua citing Cameroonian state broadcaster CRTV.

The accident took place after a road between the two cities collapsed following heavy rain, forcing more people than usual to take the train. Rail officials said the train had been carrying 1,300 passengers, instead of the usual 600.
