Many people have asked if I would be attending any of the events and dinners lined up to welcome and celebrate the Ooni of Ife.

I have been invited to one of the dinners as a guest but will be unable to attend. I think it is only appropriate that I honour the king publicly.
The Ooni of Ife, Kabiyesi Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, is one African paramount king and the spiritual head of all Yorubas that all blacks across the world must be proud of.

Even though Obas are supposed to be ageless, this King is young, handsome, educated, rich and intelligent.

The Vanguard Newspaper described him as "an astute entrepreneur driven by turning impossibilities to ‘possibilities’". Have you seen the wife? She looks every inch a beautiful, powerful but very humble Queen.

The king is very modern, sophisticated and progressive, He is perhaps the most approachable leader from Africa. Our Oba is humble and decent and you cannot but fall in love with the King and his beautiful, elegant wife as they both freely mingle with everyone in the Diaspora.

When President Obasanjo visited him in the Palace, the African statesman prostrated flatly on the floor to greet this great king.

Thats a very important message to all Africans and many of you who have almost been putting your hands round his shoulders. Lol.. Lets revere this important father regardless of how connected we may be to him.

The Ooni is not child's play. He holds not just megabyte, gigabyte or terabytes of power. We are talking of yottabytes of power here. I call on every Diasporan to troop out and welcome the king. Please attend one of the events.

Kade Pe Lori Ki bata Pe lese. Kabiyesi. May you reign for long and may your reign usher in progress in Yorubaland, Nigeria and indeed Africa. Kabiyesiiii ooooo. See more (photos)
